Lahore Bar Elections: Case filed against 40 lawyers for aerial firing

Lahore: (News Desk) A case has been registered in the Islampura police station against the lawyers who opened fire in the air in celebration of their victory in the annual elections of the Lahore Bar.

According to the FIR, a case has been registered against 40 lawyers including 16 named accused, the case includes provisions of terrorism, attempted murder, interference in government and damage to property.

According to the text of the FIR, the lawyers tore the DSP’s uniform and tortured him during the firing, while constable Shahid was kidnapped at gunpoint. The lawyers attacked DSP Sarwar Awan with the intention of killing him. What, the case was registered in the complaint of Asim Jahangir, SHO of Islampura police station.

It has also been recorded in the FIR that 300 lawyers gathered on the Awan Adal Road after the election results were announced, the lawyers started shouting slogans and started firing along with the police. Government buildings and government vehicles were set on fire
