Highlighting specific hospitals, Mr. Naqvi instructed the rapid completion of projects in Mayo, Jinnah, Services, Lady Wellington, Nishtar-II Multan, and the cardiology institute in DG Khan. The meeting also reviewed progress in revamping Allied Hospital in Faisalabad, Ganga Ram and Holy Family in Rawalpindi, Allama Iqbal Hospital in Sialkot, LGH, and Bahawal Victoria Hospital.
Addressing concerns about the delay at Fatima Jinnah Dental Institute since 2007, the CM was urged to expedite the completion without further delays. He mentioned that the 1370-bed Lahore Children’s Hospital is the most significant medical facility for ailing children. Meanwhile, he added that Mayo Cancer Hospital in Manawan will be opened to the public on January 20, and the biogas plant in Gujjar Colony will be completed on January 31.
Expressing concern over delays in projects related to Lahore Zoo and Safari Park, Mr. Naqvi directed swift actions to address the issues. He suggested increasing the workforce during night shifts to expedite project completion. He also mentioned completing the hospital management information system in 22 hospitals by January 31.
The CM called for concerted efforts to bring all 40 projects to completion within the set deadlines. He insisted on maintaining quality in every project, emphasizing that there would be no compromise on quality.
The CM asked provincial ministers and secretaries to inspect projects’ progress twice daily and conduct nighttime monitoring to assess the work pace. Emphasizing that no task is impossible, he encouraged dedication and hard work for the welfare of the people.
Mr. Naqvi stressed the importance of completing development projects on time, stating that not only does it save resources, but it also ensures immediate benefits for the public. He urged the team to work together with determination, highlighting that previous projects were successfully delivered through hard work, and he has complete confidence in the team’s ability to do so again.
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi announced that the completion of Holy Family Hospital is set for January 31. The Rawalpindi Ring Road and Dadocha Dam projects are in progress, with a commitment to expediting work on Kachahri Chowk. These projects are under continuous day-and-night monitoring. CM Naqvi expressed optimism about delivering numerous projects in Rawalpindi by January 31. He highlighted the ongoing upgrade of the entire 6 lakh square foot area of Holy Family Hospital, acknowledging the patient load currently distributed among other hospitals.
The chief minister assured that efforts are being maximized to complete Holy Family Hospital by the specified date. In the media interaction following the virtual inauguration of over 36 police stations, including Sadar and Cantt police stations in Rawalpindi, he affirmed his awareness of the metro bus service track situation. Funds have been released for the repair of the Lahore metro bus track. In contrast, efforts are underway to restore the Rawalpindi metro track.
Separately, Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed unwavering solidarity with Kashmiri brothers and sisters, emphasizing the fundamental right of self-determination for the people of occupied Kashmir. Despite enduring years of oppression and injustice, the Kashmiris have been deprived of their right to self-determination by India.
The chief minister highlighted that the right to self-determination is a fundamental right for those residing in occupied Kashmir, and India should realize that the day is not far when the people of Kashmir will exercise their right to self-determination. He stated that India’s denial of the right to self-determination clearly violates human rights.
The chief minister called attention to the oppressive environment created by the Indian government in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, instilling fear among the residents. He urged the international community to take note of the continuous human rights violations committed by the Indian forces in occupied Kashmir.
In the face of India’s grave crimes against humanity, Mohsin Naqvi asserted that the struggle for the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination cannot be extinguished. He assured that Pakistan will continue its unwavering political, ethical, and diplomatic support for its Kashmiri brethren.
The BoD members, including Ahsan Rasheed, praised CM Naqvi in glowing terms for his exceptional efforts and commitment to upgrading the emergency services within a record period of six weeks.
