KHYBER AGENCY: At least two Pakistan Customs officials received injuries when a roadside remote controlled improvised explosive device (IED) went off in the Matha Khel area of Landi Kotal, Khyber Agency, on Thursday. The administration and local sources said that a Torkham-bound customs coach, carrying Torkham Customs House crew, was on its way to its destination from Peshawar when it was targeted at around 9am with a bomb planted by militants on the main Pak-Afghan highway. Resultantly, two customs officials identified as Muhammad Yousaf (muharrar) and Abdul Kareem (security guard) sustained injuries and were shifted to the Agency Headquarters Hospital, Landi Kotal, for medical aid. Immediately after the incident, the law enforcers rushed to the site, cordoned off the area and collected evidence from the crime scene.
