LAHORE: The Punjab Assembly echoed with gales of laughter on Thursday after opposition leader Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed addressed the Punjab law minister as “Haji Sanaullah”. Speaking in the assembly, Mehmoodur Rasheed said that the provincial lawmakers had surrounded “Haji Sanaullah”. To this, the Punjab Assembly speaker pointed out that he was “Rana Sanaullah” and not “Haji Sanaullah”. The opposition leader said that it seemed that Haji Sanaullah was distributing dates (brought with him from Saudi Arabia) due to which every member was trying to get closer to him. Even Rana Sanaullah could not control his smile on hearing Mehmoodur Rasheed’s comment.
