UMT signs MoU with Punjab Police

A memorandum of understanding has been signed between the University of Management and Technology (UMT) and the Punjab Police Department. UMT has Announced Scholarships worth 50 million rupees for Punjab Police officers. Under this MoU, with the approval of IG Punjab Police, police officers can pursue higher education in UMT on merit. Along with this, UMT will also provide support in the capacity building of Punjab Police officers. UMT students will also visit police training centers to learn much through positive interaction with Punjab Police Officers.

Rector UMT Dr. Asif Raza gave a special briefing to the Punjab Police delegation about UMT’s educational activities, which was highly appreciated by IG Punjab Police Dr Usman Anwar and his team. IG Punjab Police Dr Usman Anwar and Rector UMT Dr Asif Raza signed the MoU.

IG Punjab Police Dr. Usman Anwar, Additional IG Finance, AIG Operations, DIG Welfare, SSP Dr. Anush Masood, SP Sidra, SP Hamza, ASP Kamil, Acting President UMT Lt Gen Retd Javed Hasan, Rector UMT Dr. Asif Raza, Salim Ata, Ahmed Abdullah were present in the ceremony. A large number of students also participated.

After the MoU ceremony, IG Punjab Police Dr. Usman Anwar gave the students a unique address. It said that visiting UMT, I am thrilled that the future of our country is being developed in such an excellent environment. He thanks Provincial Minister Ibrahim Hasan Murad and the UMT administration for providing such a particular scholarship. Dr. Usman Anwar said the Punjab Police’s MoU with a beautiful institution like UMT is an excellent initiative. Positive effects will be created on Punjab Police officers, who can serve the people with better efficiency.

Addressing the gathering, IG Punjab Police highlighted the positive changes made in the police system and told how the Punjab Police works day and night to protect the people and their lives. He also said that our brilliant officers have overcome serious and other crimes. Inshallah, shortly, young students like you will proudly consider the police department as their own.

At the end of the ceremony, Provincial Minister Livestock, Transport, Mines & Minerals Ibrahim Hasan Murad also presented a souvenir to IG Punjab Police Dr Usman Anwar.
