Bitcoin surpasses $45,000 mark after 21 months

The cryptocurrency market turned bullish on Tuesday amid growing anticipation for the approval of Bitcoin and Ether spot ETFs, with the market capitalization gaining 5.6 percent to reach $1.84 trillion.

As of 1155 hours GMT, the price of Bitcoin, the worlds oldest and most valued cryptocurrency, jumped by 6.9 percent in the last 24 hours to reach $45,566. The market capitalization of the biggest crypto has reached $892.5 billion with this increase. Bitcoin has been 6.8 percent up in the past seven days.

Bitcoin kicked off the New Year by trading above the $45,000 level, driven by growing anticipation for the approval of Bitcoin spot ETFs. BTC has risen above the $45,000 milestone for the first time since April 2022. Over the last three days, BTC has demonstrated a strong upward trend.

Similarly, Ether (ETH), the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, gained 4.3 percent to reach $2,400. With this increase in price, the market capitalization of ETH has reached $288.4 billion. ETH has gained 7.2 percent of its value during the last seven days. Ether price made around 88 percent increase last year.

On the other hand, Solana price increased by 10.9 percent to reach $115. With this increase in price, its market capitalization has reached $49.5 billion. SOL has gained 0.3 percent of its value during the last seven days. With this fresh increase in price, Solana has again become the third biggest crypto after BTC and ETH in terms of market capitalization, snatching the slot from Binance Coin.

Following suit, Binance Coin (BNB) price surged by 3.2 percent to reach $320. The market capitalization of BNB has reached $49.3 billion with this increase. BNB has gained 12.5 percent of its value during the last seven days.

In the same way, the price of Ripple (XRP) increased by 2.9 percent to reach $0.635. The market capitalization of XRP stands at $34.4 billion with this increase. XRP has gained 2.1 percent of its value during the last seven days.
