SEHWAN: Sehwan Assistant Commissioner Fazal-e-Rabbi Cheema has said that strict security arrangements have been made at the shrine of Sufi saint Lal Shahbaz Qalandar and at sites of majalis. He said that 12 out of 14 entry and exist points had been sealed. He said that more than 150 security personnel had been deployed at the shrine to ensure security during Ashura, while 100 close circuit television cameras would remain functional during the whole month. Meanwhile, uninterrupted power supply units and generators have also been installed at sensitive points to cope with power outages. “No one will be allowed to enter the shrine without proper checking,” he said, adding only photojournalists would be allowed to cover activities after issuance of valid passes from departments concerned. He said that a control room had been set-up for the purpose, while the wireless system would remain functional round-the-clock.
