NUST hosts exhibition of innovative projects

ISLAMABAD: The Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) at National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) on Friday hosted a regional showcasing event of innovative projects at Jinnah Auditorium.

It was part of a series of such events being held to mark the successful completion of 15 years of Higher Education Commission Pakistan.

The exhibition was opened to the visitors from Offices of Research, Innovation and Commercialisation (ORIC), Business Incubation Centers (BIC), Directors of Research, HODs, member faculty, students of 11 participating universities and approx 300 guests from corporate/business sectors. A total of 65 innovative products/prototypes, industrial problem solutions, products of BIC startups, having strong impact on society and economy were showcased at this event. An independent panel of judges assessed the projects.

HEC Executive Director Dr Arshad Ali inaugurated the exhibition and appreciated the quality of the projects displayed by HEIs of Pakistan.
