LAHORE: Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN) Maleeha Lodhi dubbed India as the “mother of terrorism in South Asia” on Sunday.

In her speech at the 72nd session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), she countered the Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Suvraj’s allegations of terrorism on Paksitan by claiming that India is using terrorism as a state policy.

Lodhi told the UNGA that the Indian spy Kulbhushan Yadav, captured by Pakistani forces from Balochistan, has confessed of committing terrorism in Pakistan.

Reiterating Pakistan’s stance on Kashmir she said that Jammu and Kashmir is not a part of India. It has been recognized as a “disputed territory” by UN and the international community.

She said that Indian brutalities claimed the lives of over 100,000 innocent Kashmiris.

The ambassador also urged the international community to stop India from ceasefire violations on the Line of Control (LoC), adding that Pakistan wants peaceful resolution of all conflicts with India through dialogue.

She also criticized Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for being involved in the killing of Muslims in Gujrat and promoting violence and aggression against the minorities in India.
