Under the dazzling lights of Alhamra Arts Center, The Mall, the timeless saga of Punjab’s romantic epic, ‘Heer Waris,’ unfolds in a spellbinding theatre production. A collaborative effort orchestrated by the Lahore Arts Council, All Pakistan Chinese Overseas Youth Foundation and Dolphin Communication, this cultural masterpiece is brought to life through the lyrical prose of Arshad Chahal and the visionary direction of Assma Ismail Butt. Aasma Ismail Butt’s artistic prowess extends beyond the script to craft a visually arresting stage, setting the scene for an unforgettable experience. The stellar ensemble cast, featuring Naeem Khan, Kaleem Khan, Sabir Shah, Mehboob Ilyas, Sapna Shah, Sonia Khan, Babar Abbas, Shahzadi, Shahnaz, Sheba Butt and Imran Rushdie, weaves a tapestry of emotions, immersing the audience in the richness of the narrative. Executive Director Alhamra, Tariq Mehmood Chaudhry, expressed Alhamra’s steadfast dedication to delivering theatrical excellence that not only entertains but also enriches with meaningful stories.
