Khairpur vows to stand united during Muharram

KHAIRPUR: A joint meeting of administration and law enforcers, clerics and notables reviewed security and code of conduct under Aman Mohaida in maintaining peace and harmony during Muharram in eight talukas of Khairpur district.

Proper deployment of security personnel at head to tail routes, rooftop and blocking points of procession came under discussion.

Police, scouts, volunteers and civil society should be mobilise to facilitate security measures.

Walk-through gates should be installed, barbed wire should be installed, sweep searching of each person including sabeel and tazias should be conducted through special branch staff and metal detectors on priority, it was decided.

No suspect person/vehicle should be allowed near procession site at any cast. All procession will be covered through CCTV cameras.

On the occasion DC Khairpur, SSP, personnel of Shahbaz Rangers Khairpur along with ASP City, president of Anjuman-e-Tajran Khairpur and ulemas visited routes of sensitive Muharram mourning processions.

During visit DC Khairpur issued directions to concerned departments for cleaning and repairing of roads and streets of processions to for close coordination with concerned security departments. Meanwhile team inaugurated 15 Madadgar Centre at Gambat.
