Speaking at the 7th Annual Conference of Former Inspector Generals of Police (AFGIP) in Islamabad, the caretaker premier maintained that Pakistan is beset by many challenges.
During the event, the Kakar also commended the contributions and sacrifices of the police department in maintaining the law-and-order situation in Pakistan. He asserted that the nation is beholden to the police department for its salient role in preserving peace and security.
Maintaining that 90,000 people were martyred in the war against terrorism, the prime minister stated that to counter the challenges faced by Pakistan, “we should work devotedly, irrespective of the nature of the job”. He further added that under the Constitution of Pakistan, neither an individual nor any group can be involved in acts of violence.
