Lilly Jay slams Ariana

Lilly Jay is ready to share her side of the story. Less than 24 hours after Ethan Slater filed for divorce, his wife of four years is speaking out about his new romance with Ariana Grande, telling Page Six that her family-which includes her and Ethan’s infant son-is “collateral damage.”

“[Ariana’s] the story really,” Lilly shared July 27. “Not a girl’s girl.” In a separate statement to The Daily Mail, she insisted, “I am focused on rebuilding a life for our son and rebuilding a life for him. This is what I am trying to do and this is my only focus.”

Lilly’s comments come one week after a source confirmed to E! News that Wicked co-stars Ariana and Ethan had recently started dating following his split from Lilly and her breakup with husband Dalton Gomez.

A few months to starting their romance, both Ethan-a Tony Award nominee for SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical-and Ariana gave public shout-outs to their respective partners.

In fact, the “Into You” singer paid tribute to Dalton on their second wedding anniversary in May, writing alongside a photo from their private ceremony, “I love him so.”

That same month, Ethan shared a sweet message to Lilly on Instagram while celebrating a family milestone.

“Happy first Mother’s Day to the most loving caring and wonderful mom/person in the world,” he wrote alongside photos of their son, signing off, “from me and this little guy.”

Back in November, Ethan also honoured Lilly on their wedding anniversary, calling her his “best friend.”

“4 years married, 10 years together,” he captioned the Instagram post. “And this is easily the best year yet.”

And, despite any speculation about Ariana and Ethan’s romantic timeline, a separate source tells E! News that there was no overlap between the relationships: “They were both separated before they got together.”
