Pakistan sparkles at international karate competition

KARACHI: A team from Pakistan secured five gold medals and overall third position in an international karate competition held in Sri Lanka. The gold medalists are Erdemir Ali, Anael Ali, Khalid Aleem, Khadija Abdullah, and Muhammad Raid. The team, Bushi Ban Pakistan Junior Karate Team, along with teams from seven other countries participated in the 22nd Kensho International Open Karate Championship 2017. The participating teams hailed from Sri Lanka, India, Nepal, Maldives, Bhutan, Bangladesh, and Pakistan. “We are glad to announce the marvelous victory of our karate team in international championship held in Sri Lanka,” read a press statement issued by the Bushi Ban Pakistan Junior Karate Team on Wednesday.
