Mourning processions held peacefully in Sukkur

SUKKUR: Mourning processions were taken out from various parts of Sukkur district on Wednesday. The main procession was taken out from Old Sukkur to Qureshi Goth and culminated Numaish ground after passing through its traditional routes. Foolproof security arrangements were ensured by Sukkur police, Pakistan Rangers and the district administration. Walkthrough gates were installed at entry points of the processions to scan mourners before letting them in. The Sukkur SSP and Rangers personnel were monitoring mourning processions and majalis through helicopters and close circuit television cameras.
