Everyone’s lying and wrong, except Israel: Gigi

Author: News Desk

American model Gigi Hadid, known for her vocal support for Palestine, took to Instagram to challenge Israel’s stance, questioning the labelling of Palestinian citizens as terrorists and the criticism faced by those who advocate for Palestine.

In a recent Instagram story, Gigi Hadid condemned Israel’s narrative, stating, “Israel labels every Palestinian citizen a terrorist, and anyone supporting Palestine is termed anti-Jew.” She further highlighted the criticism faced even by Jews who oppose the Israeli government, raising the question, “Is the whole world wrong except Israel?”

Last month, Hadid had expressed strong condemnation of the Israeli government’s actions, standing in solidarity with Palestinians amidst the ongoing human tragedy in Palestine. However, her vocal support attracted backlash, including a strong response from the official Instagram account of the Israeli government.

The account accused Hadid of overlooking the deaths of Jewish children and implied that her silence indicated her stance.

This support for Palestine hasn’t come without consequences. Both Gigi and her sister, Bella Hadid, received death threats from Israel, leading them to change their phone numbers for security reasons.

The Hadid family, with Palestinian roots through their father, consistently speaks out against Israeli oppression in Palestine, advocating for justice and an end to atrocities against Palestinians.
