The Environment Protection Department of the Government of the Punjab, under the umbrella of World Bank-funded Punjab Green Development Program, conducted a seminar on “Negative Environmental and Health Impacts of Single-Use Plastics.” in Punjab Arts Council, Gujranwala. Attendees from various sectors, including large retailers, plastic producers, media representatives civil society organizations, and traders participated in the session.

Strategic Planning and Implementation Unit, Environment Protection Department Dr. Anber Raheel and District Officer, Environmental Protection Agency Gujranwala Mr. Imtiaz Ahmed apprised the audience regarding the policy measures and actions taken by the Government to curb the Single-Use Plastics.
Scholars from the University of Punjab, Dr. Abdul Qadir and from the University of Gujrat Dr. Mohsin Abbas apprised the attendees regarding harmful impacts of Single-Use Plastics.
