Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar held a press conference at the Central Police Office in the context of the terrorist incident that happened two days ago in Sialkot. Additional IG CTD Wasim Ahmed Khan and DPO Sialkot Muhammad Hasan Iqbal were also present on the occasion.

On the instructions of Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, new uniforms, vehicles and other resources are being provided to the police force. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that 742 vehicles have been provided to the police force with the support of the Punjab government this year. Similarly, 45404 polo shirts, 7355 winter jackets and 7450 jerseys, 11440 PT shoes, 14000 police shoes and 29035 caps have also been distributed to the police personnel. Dr Usman Anwar said that 51000 winter jackets, 119529 uniform caps and 26187 full sleeve warm vests will be distributed to the police during this month.IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar added that all possible resources are being provided to the police force for better performance of their professional duties, the provision of new vehicles will speed up the patrolling and anti-crime operations on the roads.
