Thousands of citizens benefitting through Police Tahaffuz Markazs: IGP

On the instructions of Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, priority measures are being taken for the health welfare of the police employees and their families serving in all districts including Lahore, in continuation of which, more than 15 lakh rupees funds were released to pay the medical bills of five officials. Under the chairmanship of Additional IG Welfare Muhammad Riaz Nazir Gara, Welfare Management Committee approved funds for the treatment of police personnel and their families of various districts including Lahore.

According to the details, 05 lakh rupees were given to Ghazi Lady Head Constable Tahira Munir for treatment. Traffic Warden Muhammad Imran was given Rs.05 lakh for cancer treatment. 02 lakh 21 thousand 100 rupees was given to the daughter of ASI Moin Ilyas for battery of hearing device.01 lakh 19 thousand 400 rupees issued to Head Constable Naveed Qamar for battery of hearing device.01 lakh 72 thousand 500 rupees was given to the son of ASI Moin Ilyas for the battery of herring device.

IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar issued funds on the recommendations of Police Welfare Management Committee. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar directed to continue the measures for the health welfare of the force and their families and said that all possible measures should be taken for the better treatment of the constables and their families with the income from police welfare sources.

Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has said that Police Tahaffuz Markaz established in all districts of the province are providing facilities , social protection and maximum relief to various citizens suffering from social problems, especially transgenders, women, children and special persons. IGP said that thousands of citizens are benefitting in each district of the province through Police Tahaffuz Markazs. IG Punjab directed to continue the measures for the social protection of transgenders, women, children and special persons suffering from various problems and said that the problems of all citizens suffering from difficulties. He said that with effective coordination of all govt. institutions, social welfare departments and local organizations, maximum relief should be provided to needy and deserving people and segments of the society. IG Punjab further said that Police Tahaffuz Markaz are a brand project of Punjab Police regarding community policing, through this platform relief should be provided to maximum possible citizens. He expressed these views while reviewing the six-month performance of Police Tahaffuz Markaz Bahawalnagar at the Central Police Office today.

Under the chairmanship of IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, a performance review meeting of Police Tahaffuz Markaz was held in which the team of Police Tahaffuz Markaz Bahawalnagar presented a report to IG Punjab about the performance of the last six months. Police Tahaffuz Markaz Bahawalnagar provided treatment to 04 drug addicts, character certificate, general verification and legal aid to different citizens. Police Tahaffuz Markaz arranged the beautician courses for 07 transgender persons, employment for 02 transgenders, uniforms and books for deserving student children. It also provided wheelchairs to disabled persons, sewing machines to women, ensured registration of transgender persons in Benazir Income Support Program. Head Police Tahaffuz Markaz briefed that the Police Tahaffuz Markaz Bahawalnagar played a key role in eradicating the Qalb-e-Abbas aka Qalbi gang involved in killing and sexual exploitation of transgender in Bahawalnagar. IG Punjab while appreciating the performance of the Head, victim support officer and other staff of Police Tahaffuz Markaz Bahawalnagar said that Police Tahaffuz Markaz Bahawalnagar has done an exemplary job for the social protection of transgender and other citizens suffering from difficulties. He directed to extend the scope of Police Tahaffuz Markaz Bahawalnagar to provide relief to more and more deserving citizens. AIG Admin Amara Athar and other officers were also present in the event.

Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has said that police teams are working day and night to eradicate henious crimes including dacoity, murder, kidnapping for ransom in all districts of the province. A special campaign is underway to arrest the proclaimed offenders while at the same time intelligence-based operations have been speeded up to root out the menace of narcotics. IG Punjab said that priority measures are being taken to eradicate the crimes and promote community policing under the supervision of RPOs, DPOs, which is strengthening the atmosphere of mutual trust between police and citizens. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar was met by DPO Okara Mansoor Aman and his team at the Central Police Office, IG Punjab reviewed the overall performance of Okara Police in police station diaries. DPO Okara while giving a briefing about the situation of kidnapping for ransom, blind murder, robbery and serious crimes in the district said that 21 out of 23 cases of serious crimes such as murder, robbery, kidnapping for ransom have been worked out in Okara this year.

While solving 05 cases of kidnapping for ransom, 09 suspects were arrested, the abductees were safely recovered. A child who was kidnapped for a ransom of 1 crore was safely recovered in less than 24 hours.Similarly, 08 cases of blind murder, 10 cases of robbery and 21 cases of hoise robbery were worked out successfully. 4960 proclaimed offenders including 1625 A category were arrested, 35 cases of robbery were worked out, more than 25 million stolen goods were recovered. DPO Okara Mansoor Aman further said that Okara Police has started patrolling squad “Rida” of women personnel for the protection of women citizens. The lady police officials included in Rida squad are capable of bike riding, patrolling, crowd control, self defense and provision of first aid as well.

IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar appreciated the performance of Okara Police for crime control, providing excellent services to the citizens.He said that to make the force active and active, their welfare and promotion have brought out very positive results, the motivation of hardworking, dutiful and competent officers will be continued. DSPs, SHOs, Incharge IT, Sub Inspector Lady Azmat Naseem and other officers of Okara police were also present on this occasion.
