SUKKUR: The residents of slum localities of old Sukkur: Nomaish Ground and Newpind staged a sit-in to register their protest against stagnant sewage water in the streets of their resident areas. Carrying placards inscribed with catchphrases against district administration and municipal department, protestors, Ahsan Baloch, Iqbal Bozdar, Rehmatullah Brohi and others, said that filthy water had started entering their houses but municipal officials have been reluctant to take any measures, despite several complaints.
