KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Wednesday chaired a meeting to review the preparations for a public rally, to be held in Hyderabad on October 18.
Those who attended the meeting at Bilwal House included Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah, PPP Sindh President Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, Maula Bakhsh Chandio, Rashid Rabbani, Waqar Mehdi, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Senator Aajiz Dhamrah and Noman Shaikh.
The party leaders briefed the chairman about the arrangements being made for the October 18 public gathering, intended to pay tribute to the martyrs of 2007 Karsaz bombing.
At least 180 were killed and 500 injured on October 18, 2007 in Karsaz bombing. The attack targeted the motorcade carrying former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, who was returning to Pakistan after an eight-year self-imposed exile.
