KHYBER AGENCY: A huge cache of hashish was seized at a check-post in Jamrud on Thursday when Khasadar force foiled a bid to smuggle narcotics from Khyber Agency to Peshawar. Tehsildar Jamrud Shakeel Burki said that Khasadar force stopped a Peshawar bound dumper truck for inspection. During the inspection, 1500 kg of hashish, packed in bags and hidden in different cavities of the vehicle, was recovered. Driver of the dumper, Ijaz Hussain, resident of Peshawar, was arrested and a case lodged against him. Burki said that the huge quantity of hashish seized by Khasadar force was a result of stringent security measures taken by the administration to control narcotics smuggling.
