Elderly man drowns; youth electrocuted

SHIKARPUR: A 70-year-old man drowned in Beggari Canal at Katcha area on Friday. Khanpur Police said that local divers had fished out the body. Separately, a youth identified as Nawaz Pahore, 18, was electrocuted when he touched a live electricity wire at Khuda Buksh Pahore village, Khanpur tehsil.

Protest against forced disappearances: A rally was taken out on Friday against forced disappearances. It was led by Shikarpur Majlis-e-Wahidul Muslimeen central leader Allama Hassan Zafar Naqvi. Fida Abbas Larik and others condemned the forced disappearance of people. They said that the government should take notice and free the detained people.
