SUKKUR: More than 136 inspectors and sub-inspectors in Sukkur Range were transferred away from their home districts, on the directive of Sindh Police chief. Sukkur Range DIG Feroze Shah attributed the transfers to political affiliation of policemen in their previous towns. After the reshuffle, the department’s performance would improve and people’s confidence in police increased, said DIG Shah. Shah also directed police officials to improve their behaviour towards citizens to make the department more public friendly. According to details, 35 inspectors and 106 sub inspectors were transferred away from their home districts.
