ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Saturday ordered Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif to respond within three weeks’ time to a petition seeking his disqualification.
Proceedings of the Khawaja Asif disqualification case were held earlier during the day. The high court issued a three-page order on PTI leader Usman Dar’s petition seeking the disqualification of the federal minister. Usman Dar had argued in the petition that Khawaja Asif had not disclosed his foreign earning in his nomination papers. The PTI leader had further argued that Khawaja Asif possessed an Iqama from Dubai while he was a federal minister at the same time hence he had violated his oath.
