LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Sunday termed the Orange Line Metro Train project as China’s gift to Pakistan.

He was addressing a ceremony which was conducted on the arrival of the first set of bogies from China to be used in Lahore’s Orange Line project.

The CM said that the project will benefit 250,000 people from all walks of life. “It will provide modern, safe and affordable transport facilities to the citizens,” he added.

He also criticized the opposition parties by saying that, “Our political rivals don’t want development projects to become operational.”

He accused Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan of leaving KPK helpless when the dengue virus hit the province.
