BZU will be made a centre of excellence, says VC

MULTAN: Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU) has launched a five-year plan to make the university a centre of excellence in textiles, agriculture, pharmacy, engineering, languages and social sciences, Vice Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr Naseer Ahmed Khan has said.

Addressing a ceremony of Pakistan Mango and Citrus growers and exporters Association, he said modern farms would be developed to introduce new varieties of mango, citrus and banana to attract foreign buyers.

Syed Muhammad Qasim Shah, Patron-in-Chief of the association, chaired the function.

The vice chancellor said PC-1 of the Seraiki Research Centre was sent to the government for approval. He said a Horticulture Society was being formed consisting of agriculture experts. He praised Mr Shah for his services in social sector.
