Blinded by hate

Author: Daily Times

Sir: Rasul Bakhsh Rais in his article “Whose war is this?” (Daily Times, October 30) has hit the nail on the head. Sentiments against President Musharraf and the army are fanned by interest groups, and hatred for Musharraf and the army runs so deep at the moment that people will not listen.

What is happening in Swat is frightening. Even worse is the criminal inactivity of the public. When people speak in favour of the operations against terrorism, they are labelled as the promoters of a hidden agenda, when all they want is for Pakistan to survive.
