Happy Halloween!

Author: Daily Times

Sir: A survey in the United States showed that Hilary Clinton was the top choice when people were asked which major 2008 presidential candidate would make the scariest Halloween costume. I could not help but wonder who the winner of such a poll would be in our country. Why, we have so many choices!
Benazir Bhutto, General Musharraf, Maulana Fazlullah, Fazlur Rahman, Nawaz Sharif, Pervez Elahi, Shaukat Aziz…the list could go on. All of these political stalwarts have done something or the other to make us fearful of their role in politics: irresponsible statements, bad policies, mud-slinging and even bad ties! This is what I call real competition. And as they are all neck-and-neck as far as their ‘achievements’ are concerned, a proper survey would be needed to determine which one of them would make for the scariest Halloween costume.
