No more hate!

Author: Daily Times

Sir: Recently, I visited Kohat via Darra Adamkhel where masked men were patrolling the streets. They called themselves the local “Taliban”, and were stopping all vehicles looking for people from a particular sect. They were checking the backs of men and going through their wallets and harassing families.

These masked men took several people hostage. I have heard that some were beheaded and their dead bodies were dragged in front of hundreds of people. I have travelled across the world and have never seen or heard anything like this.
Such behaviour is detrimental to our society and culture. The rest of the world is trying to reach Mars, develop supersonic planes, next-generation technologies and the cure for diseases while we are busy killing each other.
I still cannot get over the shock of what I witnessed. The peace-loving people of this country should come together and denounce such hatred and violence in any way possible, or else it will spread to the extent that we will not be able to control it anymore.
A SHOCKED PAKISTANI
