Sir: President Musharraf has gotten used to blaming the judges, lawyers and media much too often for the troubles facing Pakistan.
Convenient as that may be, the president fails to remember that as army chief he had absolute power for the last eight years. Therefore, he must not childishly indulge in the blame game. But if he must label who is culpable, it is best he look at himself first. He did not keep his word about the uniform issue, trampled the constitution, put judges under house arrest, gagged the independent press, and above all, continues to think that national interest and his hold on power go hand in hand.
