Sir: According to a study published in the Daily Tribune, teenagers who do not get enough sleep may be more likely to have suicidal thoughts and to attempt suicide than their more rested contemporary companions. To investigate, the survey analysed responses from students who were asked about their sleep patterns, problems and their suicidal behaviour. Nearly 20 percent of the students said they had thought about killing themselves, and 10.5 percent admitted to attempting suicide at some point during the previous six months.
