KARACHI: Addressing a press conference soon after his release from police custody, Mustafa Kamal said he was being shifted to Kalakot police station and they had not even entered the Red Zone when they were arrested.

Kamal thanked his party workers for their patience and declared that his party workers were the most civilised people compared to all other parties. “I thank all the workers to who had faith and remained standing without being violent”.

Criticising the Sindh government, he claimed that Zardari’s government is the most corrupt . “The government will not last any longer, its days are being counted”. He also criticised the Prime Minister and asked whether “Nawaz Sharif is the PM of Pakistan or only of Punjab. Why is he so indifferent to solve our basic issues?”.

He thanked his workers for their patience and for being steadfast to their aim. There were millions of people in his rally and many more were on their way to join them.

The police detained him and other PSP leaders along with several party workers for demanding their basic rights.

“I will not end this campaign until our demands are met, and I will address again in 48 hours.

He also thanked Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali for condemning the Sindh government for using force against peaceful protesters.

Police also arrested more than 20 party workers. Anees Qaimkhani was hit by a water canon, although party workers, later on surrounded him in an attempt to save him from any harm.

Later, police uprooted the party’s camp at the FTC on Shahra-e-Faisal. The police also used water cannons to disperse the crowd gathered near Aisha Bawany Academy.
