Bhutto’s judicial murder

Author: Daily Times

Sir: President Asif Ali Zardari, by exercising his constitutional powers, has rightly decided to refer the case of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, which was in fact a judicial murder.

The television interview of Justice Nasim Hasan Shah is on record. He has stated: “If I would have liked, the life of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto could have been saved but his advocate, Yahya Bakhtiar, had annoyed us.” This was a clear admission that Justice Nasim Shah had given the verdict against Bhutto not on merit but only because of his personal sentiments. Furthermore, there were reports by the international media that the military dictator General Ziaul Haq had influenced the judges to give a verdict against Bhutto.
