Revisiting the ZAB case

Author: Dhirendra Sharma

Sir: The PPP-led government has taken an initiative to reopen the murder case of Zulifiqar Ali Bhutto (ZAB). The president of Pakistan has approved a reference to reopen the ‘Judicial murder case’ of ZAB, who was brutally assassinated through a nexus of anti-democratic forces. It goes without saying ZAB was a great leader. He gave a voice to the unheard and oppressed and hopes to those who were in despair.

However, a number of stakeholders are criticising this step taken by the present government to uncover the hidden truth. The act is being considered a waste of time and resources. We should appreciate the current initiative to see the real picture, because we have the right to know.
