Mayhem in Charsadda

Author: Dr Syed Mansoor Hussain

Sir: Umer Patek, a major villain of the gory Bali bombings, is reported to have been nabbed in Pakistan. Why should all these despicable characters be found amongst us? How much more do the people of Pakistan have to suffer due to foolhardy strategic expediencies and proxy wars? I do not have the answer. But, sadly, it is destroying all the goodness in common men and women around this place.

On April 1, the militants exploded a bomb in a rally in Charsadda. People were killed and maimed as usual. The TV and press images of lovely young schoolchildren crying in pain and panic were excruciating. Do these men have no heart? Do have they no children of their own? How can one be so ruthless?
