Exam stress

Author: Daily Times

Sir: We all know that the O-level and A-level final examinations in schools and colleges are just round the corner. Parents constantly pressurise their children at this time of the year to earn good grades and, as a result, children stop eating, drinking and even sleeping and study day and night like zombies. This attitude is wrong on many levels. It is not wrong of parents to expect goods results from their children but for this they should help their children with their studies all year round and be supportive during examinations because all they need at this time is support and a few words of encouragement. Moreover, children need to be healthy at this time, as they cannot study at their best if they lack energy.
