Rising food prices

Author: Naveed Ashraf

Sir: The rise in food prices is becoming too much for the common man to bear. According to the Asian Development Bank (ADB), food inflation in Pakistan has reached double digits in recent months mainly due to the rising domestic prices of rice, wheat and other food items. In such difficult times, what are the masses supposed to do? We can refrain from using vehicles when fuel prices increase, but what are we supposed to do when food prices go out of our reach? Wear stones around our stomachs?
