Sir: The Human Development Report 2011 places Pakistan at the 136th position with a 49.9 percent educated populace. The primary education completion rate in Pakistan, given by the Date Centre of UNESCO, is 33.8 percent in females and 47.18 percent in males, which shows that people in the 6th largest country of the world are unable to get basic education. The schools in Balochistan (the largest province of Pakistan by area) are in a shambles compared to Punjab (the largest province of Pakistan by population). In FATA, the literacy rate is deplorable, constituting 29.5 percent in males and 3.0 percent in females. Due to gender discrimination, the primary school ratio of boys and girls is at10:4 respectively.
