Liquor a common thing in Turbat

Author: Daily Times

Sir: I see a number of young boys drinking liquor in Turbat. Liquor is being sold openly and police just take money from the sellers allowing them to indulge in this illegal act. It is destroying our youth. Nowadays young boys are also drinking; boys aged 12 go into liquor stores and it is sold to them. This is indeed very bad. These shops are increasing like ordinary shops in Turbat, which is destroying the young and everyone else living there.

If I am not wrong, selling liquor is an illegal thing in the whole of Pakistan; then why are liquor stores on the increase here? The law authorities are just for the name; no one seems to be afraid of the police. All is done in front of them and they let things pass. This is playing havoc with the lives of young students; they buy liquor from stores, and this is ruining their academic and personal lives.

The practice of these illegal acts is very destructive for all the people of Turbat. I request the higher authorities to ban these stores from selling liquor openly, or strict action be taken against the offenders.
