Sir: The KESC has shocked its users again by increasing electricity rates by 20 percent, without thinking of the poor people who hardly earn enough to make ends meet. The irony is that in spite of 20-hour load shedding, electricity bills have increased manifold. A poor person cannot afford such high rates. It is about time the government takes some steps to ease the hardships of people a bit.
