Selfless devotion

Sir: Salman Khan (not the Bollywood hero) is ranked fourth in Time magazine as the most influential person of 2012. This young man from Silicon Valley is providing free online lectures on Mathematics and Algebra to millions of children around the world. It all started when Khan began giving lectures on Mathematics to his cousin living in India. With the passage of time, his lectures attracted students from different places, forming a free cyber class on Mathematics. Shortly after, Khan developed his website with the name of www.khanacademy.org. The site has over three thousand short lessons posted on it. Khan also gives guidelines to teachers on delivering lectures in Mathematics and other disciplines. Today, when materialism and money has become the buzzword, people like Khan really deserve a salute. His free for all education endeavour is benefiting all those who cannot afford good education in this expensive world.
