Sir: We, the students of Fatima Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi, are concerned over the repeated delay in the distribution of laptops. The laptops were sent to the university in March. Being a gift from the CM Punjab to the deserving students, these laptops should have been distributed by now. Different dates for the distribution ceremony have been published in various newspapers but to no avail. There are rumours of the scheme being scrapped and we are afraid of losing the chance to get laptops, which will be quite unfair. This is a government university and many students studying here belong to underprivileged families and the news of laptops distribution had made them happy. For the first time in Pakistan, it was felt that something was being done for the promotion of education of the lower middle class. However, now the students are having doubts. We request the Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to ensure a quick response to this matter. The students of Fatima Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi will be very thankful to him.
