Sir: I am a PTCL user and pay my bills regularly. On February 3, 2012, I received a letter from the business manager of PTCL informing me that due to a network transformation project the PTCL had installed state of the art equipment near my residence in Sector G-10, Islamabad. I was further informed that due to this development, my number 2292199 would be changed to 2351485, which may cause a temporary inconvenience, but would lead to better telecom services and fewer complaints.
I was provided a list of numbers (2291000, 2290002, 4422466, and 1218) to call in case of any problem. Here starts my ordeal as a consumer. To date, I have paid three telephone bills of a connection that has not been restored or provided to me. None of the above-mentioned numbers was accessible. Most of my complaint calls ended up in vain. I have personally visited the PTCL centres in F-11 and G-10 and have written three emails on kamran.yusuf@ptcl.net.pk.
Will the concerned PTCL officials please look into this case and revive my number?
