Violation of court decisions

Author: Daily Times

Sir: Despite the clear-cut decisions of the Supreme Court and the Sindh High Court regarding cancellation of deputation, the postings on deputation continue in the Sindh government despite this restriction.

The recent example of violation is the appointment of the new Provincial Coordinator on deputation in Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Youth Development Programme (BBSYDP) that runs under the chief minister’s secretariat. Moreover, ten programme officers and three deputy provincial coordinators are also working in the same organisation on deputation since many years and most of them belong to the education department. The deputation employees of BBSYDP have been enjoying big salaries, allowances and government vehicle facility.

It is requested that the above employees should be returned to their parent departments as per the decisions of the Supreme Court and the Sindh High Court.
