Politicisation of KU

Author: Daily Times

Sir: I would like to draw attention to the increasing political influence of student political organisations in Karachi University. The political activities of the students are not hidden from anyone in the university. Armed clashes have become routine things because of which a large contingent of rangers is deployed there. These organisations also force students to waste their precious time and attend events organised by them. Students come to university for studies, not to be involved in political activities. They are the future of Pakistan and this student political activism is exploiting them very badly. I would request the higher authorities and the Vice Chancellor, Karachi University to stop this negative activity so we can concentrate on our studies.
