Cricket on the rocks

Author: Paul Barrow

Sir: We lost the match against Sri Lanka by 76 runs because our batting side failed miserably. Both Umer Akmal and Shahid Afridi played like amateur cricketers. In addition, I do not know when we will realise that Younis Khan is a Test player; he is not a player suitable for the shorter version of the game and Imran Farhat would have been a better option. In my opinion, Imran Farhat and M Hafeez should be sent as the opening batsmen and Azhar Ali should come one down. On the bowling side, Sami and Umer Gul should be given the opening spell, using Afridi, Ajmal and Hafeez as spin bowlers.
