Aerial firing at weddings

Author: Daily Times

Sir: Citizens of Rawalpindi have expressed concern over the indifferent attitude of the police towards the violation of the marriage ordinance in the city and its outskirts.

Display of fireworks and aerial firing have not only become a routine during weddings but also been made an integral part without which every marriage procession is considered incomplete. Aerial firing has claimed many precious lives and the authorities concerned in curbing this menace had showed only criminal apathy. They need to take a note of this and come up with a zero tolerance policy for the offenders.
