Sir: Despite spending more than four years in power, Mr Gilani could not do anything to solve the electricity crisis. It is hoped that the new prime minister, who has the experience of running the water and power ministry, will take steps to restore his image in the eyes of the people. Though he is here for a very short time, even a few rational and timely steps can fetch good results. We are blessed with natural resources like solar and wind power and coal reserves. With the help of advanced technology, these can be utilised to generate electricity. Let us hope that the new PM adopts saner policies.
