Two terrorists killed in Bannu IBO

The security forces have successfully carried out an intelligence-based operation (IBO) targeting reported terrorist elements in Jani Khel area of Khyber Pakhtunkwa’s district Bannu, the military said on Wednesday. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that during the operation, intense exchange of gunfire took place between the troops and terrorists, resulting in the killing of two terrorists. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed terrorists who remained actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces and innocent citizens, the ISPR said. The statement further added that locals of the area appreciated operation by the security forces and assured them of their full support in eliminating the menace of terrorism. The Pakistan Army’s unwavering commitment and tireless efforts in combating terrorism have played a pivotal role in ensuring the security and stability of the nation. With relentless determination, the army has successfully eliminated numerous terrorist networks, dismantled their infrastructure, and thwarted their malicious intentions. Through intelligence-based operations and strategic collaborations, the Pakistan Army has proven itself as a formidable force in the fight against terrorism, safeguarding both the lives of its citizens and the sovereignty of the nation.
